Training Services

Having proper knowledge of substances of abuse and testing program protocols can increase the success of implementing and maintaining drug-free environments. Alere offers a training curriculum that includes a myriad of topics from drug information to result interpretation and can provide customized training on your specific processes and procedures. Through in-person, teleconference, or web-based seminars, Alere’s subject matter experts provide useful information in a simple, user-friendly format that includes visual presentations and procedure manuals.

Clients may choose from a current training program already developed or request one customized for their unique operations. Once a client of Alere’s, we can provide information on the specific processes and protocols necessary for an efficient and effective testing program. This training can include information on proper collection, specimen shipment, testing, reporting procedures, result interpretation, requesting client support, and ancillary services.

Should you require customized training, Alere will first learn your specific needs or existing protocols and design a training program centered around them. Along with training sessions, a manual will be developed to include written instructions about your testing program and its procedures to ensure the reliable and accurate testing of urine specimens. This manual will also include any request forms and other pertinent information and be distributed to all administrative and other personnel who will implement this program, interpret results, or have need for educational reference material.

Alere understands the need to provide information and training that allows individuals to understand the drug testing processes, possible adulteration of specimens, cross reactivity of drugs, and all aspects to improve their performance and knowledge and help support their decisions. Alere will address all industry changes, trends, potential new methods, problems, concerns, or questions in a timely manner and conduct continued and additional training as requested.
