Paperless Billing
Alere remains committed to providing practical services that enable clients to more efficiently manage their substance abuse testing programs. To that end, we now offer paperless billing that clients can receive via email, rather than through a mailed paper invoice. Each month, we will transmit an electronic lab-based testing invoice and data file to a designated contact, facilitating your accounts receivable process.
Emails arrive with an Adobe Acrobat .pdf version of the invoice along with a Microsoft Excel file. While the Acrobat file is simply an electronic version of the previously received paper invoice, the Excel file contains additional data fields and allows for easy sorting and may be imported into an existing system for reconciliation and tracking.
Other benefits include:
- Receipt of invoices in a more timely manner
- Creation of an electronic invoice archive
- Immediate accessibility for the point of contact for processing payment
In addition to the client benefit, this service is a conservation initiative to use less paper and create less waste and is another step in improving all of our administrative practices to be more user and environmentally friendly.
