AlcoScreen Saliva Alcohol Test
Alere Toxicology Services offers the AlcoScreen device to detect the level of alcohol in human saliva. It enables employers, institutions, hospitals, and clinics identify and deter the risks associated with inappropriate alcohol consumption that can be a problem in American society.
Alere’s alcohol testing device is manufactured by a privately held company that offers a variety of cost effective, quality diagnostic products. These products have helped define and promote early detection testing for health care providers and consumers and enhance the effectiveness of traditional diagnostic/treatment regimens by allowing earlier identification of potential health problems.
AlcoScreen02™ is a rapid, highly sensitive method to monitor for alcohol consumption. AlcoScreen02™ is so effective that it has been tested and approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for required testing of all transportation and safety sensitive employees for blood alcohol concentrations above the federally mandated zero tolerance level of 0.02%.
