Susan Bybee, B.A.

Non-negative Production Manager

As part of the Alere’s senior management team and with over 11 years of experience, Ms. Bybee manages the Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry and Positive Certifying Scientist departments and functions as a Co-Responsible Person under SAMHSA-guidelines for the Louisiana laboratory, sharing the responsibility of overseeing all functions of the laboratory’s daily operations. She has written and implemented many of the lab’s Standard Operating Procedures, documented employee training and performance, aided in the maintenance of a Quality Assurance / Quality Control program, and managed line staff and workload distribution. She also provides client assistance through seminars, consultations, and litigation support. Outside of Alere, Ms. Bybee serves as an inspector for the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and SAMHSA. Prior to Alere, Ms. Bybee was the Responsible Person (RP) for Express Analytical Laboratory in Marion, Iowa. Ms. Bybee earned a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota at Morris and is a member of the Society for Forensic Toxicologists.
